Who we are

An airline of the archipelago, for the archipelago.

We were born in 2023 with a simple mission: connect the 88 Bijagós islands to the rest of the world. Today we are the only scheduled airline operating inter-island routes, with a local team and aircraft maintained to the same standard as a large international carrier.

Our mission

Bring the Bijagós archipelago closer to the world with safe, affordable flights that respect local culture and nature. So anyone can discover the islands without the 4-hour boat crossing.

Our vision

To be the reference airline of West Africa for regional light-aircraft connections. Combining modern technology, sustainable operation and deep local knowledge.

Our story

Three years of takeoff

From one light plane serving the Bijagós to a regional airline with two aircraft and international routes.

2023

Air Bijagos is born

With a Piper PA-28 and a dream: that getting to the Bijagós wouldn't be a 4-hour boat ride but 30 minutes in the air.

2024

First international route

We expand to Dakar and Conakry. The archipelago is no longer cut off from the rest of West Africa.

2025

Cessna 210 Centurion

We add a second aircraft, with more capacity and range. We launch tourist scenic flights from Bubaque.

2026

Air Bijagos digital portal

We launch online booking, on-demand charter and the multilingual system. Modern aviation reaches the archipelago.

What drives us

Four non-negotiable principles

Safety first

Every flight starts with a triple check: aircraft, weather, pilot. If anything is less than perfect, we don't take off.

Local people

80% of our team is Guinean. We train pilots, mechanics and agents from the region. The archipelago is our home.

Respect for the islands

Routes optimised for minimum fuel use, no flyovers of Orango's sacred zones and hand-in-hand work with local communities.

No-compromise service

Few passengers, personal care. You know your pilot, you call bookings directly. That's what a regional airline should be.
